OUR MISSION
Our mission
is to serve as a "Model Organization" and make a positive
impact in the lives of women by enabling them to receive the
resources and support services available and improve the quality
of their lives. Educating and Empowering women invariably results
in the uplifting of the "entire family". We are also dedicated
to promote goodwill through genuine improvement of interpersonal
relationships and better understanding in the communities we
live in. Through our efforts we hope to help in bringing people
together and look beyond our racial, religious, ethnic, educational
and other diverse backgrounds.
What is unique about SERENE LIGHT Inc.?
"Our
hope is to serve as a beacon of light to those who need hope
and serenity" in their lives and will radiate that light
to others. Perhaps the most important reason is that it is an
unique, "one-of-a-kind" grass roots Volunteer Organization
formed and functioning in Alabama, due to the unselfish and
dedicated efforts of Women who are mostly full-time working
mothers. Our Great Asset is our diverse backgrounds . We are able
to come together with our unique, individual skills and be a
'truly inclusive' group which helps us also to promote good-will
and better multi-cultural understanding while we focus on Women's
Health/Wellness issues. (age, race, ethnic, religious, educational backgrounds).
